After lunch we went to Irwin Gardens and wandered around for awhile
then headed over to the library and the Visitors Center. The Gardens
are simply beautiful.

  1. I sensing that you are an Indiana girl? I down in the southwest toe, E'ville. My sister keeps trying to get me to make a scarf, but I hate football AND scarf knitting! LOL

  2. When are Irwin Gardens open? I have never been because I thought it was "closed" to the public. I would love to see them sometime.

    2. They are technically closed to the public. I have a friend that has a spa in the Gardener's Cottage and have talked with the owners. They are really great people and as long as nothing is going on either in the house or the gardens, they will usually let you wander around. I stayed there last Fall for a knitting retreat. This marks the 2nd anniversary of it being converted to a B&B.
