I am Gassy and Sneezy

Thought you would like to know and I believe in sharing...it's the right thing to do.

One represents my current state and one represents, well, my current state.

Stop laughing and holding your nose.

I'm gassy...my sweet hubby did surgery on the oven yesterday and fixed it.  Yay!! I can cook again.  Order has been restored to my world.  In honor of the return of the flame in the box in the wall (and because Alex specifically made the requests), I made fried pork chops, broccoli, Alex's favorite cheesy potatoes, rosemary dinner rolls, apple pie and ice cream for dinner last night.

I'm sneezy...that oughta be self explanatory.  Feel like I have been smacked around by a ramen noodle.

This week, the Cleaning Schedule says I am in Zone 6:  The Upstairs Hallway and Alex and Wesley's Bedrooms.  Guess what?  The daily plan for this zone is the same as the last two weeks.

Dinner tonight was stuffed shells, corn, salad with dressing a la knock off Olive Garden type recipe.  The dressing is super easy and is pretty ding dang darn close to the original.  Here ya go, cuz, as noted previously, sharing is the right thing to do.  Anyway, it's supposed to be one of those things you learn in kindergarten, except I did not go to kindergarten and in my current sneezy, sniffy, congested state I honestly don't know where I was going with that but it appears that my intent was to create a terrific run on sentence.  Next!

Try it, you'll like it:

1/2 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup corn syrup
3 tablespoons fresh grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons pectin
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
2 pinches dried oregano
2 pinches red pepper flakes

Throw it all into a blender and whiz away for about 30 seconds.  Chill at least one hour.

I'm outta here, have a date with the couch, a big slab of apple pie topped with a huge scoop of ice cream (wish I had some caramel sauce, but don't feel like making any right now), mindless TV and snuggling with that awesome fixer of everything man of mine.

  1. I'm pretty sure apple pie with ice cream is totally medicinal and you're adding snuggling too! You'll be feeling better in no time :-)

  2. I'm glad your stove was able to be fixed and you didn't have to buy a new one.

    Apple pie, yum!
