One of my favorite spoofs on Saturday Night Live was Happy Fun Ball.
It cracks me up, mainly because my father was a pharmacist so I grew up around all sorts of pharmaceutical journals, drug literature and other information and it does seem that this spoof is eerily more accurate than we would probably like to admit. So, when I found a Crazy Zauberball, I had to have it. Who could resist a ball of boldly colored sock yarn that comes with a warning to NOT pull from the center! OOOOHHH, don't taunt the Craaaazy Zauberball!!!!
I've got socks on the brain as I muddle through trying to do a little bit of stash busting. It's amazing how the sock yarn multiplies in my stash. I swear I don't buy it, it just appears...yeah right. But c'mon, sock yarn is such a simple indulgence. It is relatively small (making for a truly portable project), usually inexpensive in the grand scheme, and my oh my the things they can make those yarns do on their own. What's not to love about a yarn that creates a fair isle look without all the fuss?
Sock pattern: Lightweight Socks from Knitting Pure and Simple (this is a nice, simple plain jane sock)
Needles: US 3 mini circs (I hate hate hate dpn's)
As this is another installment in WIPW, everyone at Tami's is taunting the world with teasing peeks at what they are working on. Go visit, it'll be worth it. Promise!
